BRANDONCMAR allows each object the opportunity to dictate its own function. Known for their sculptural leather goods – Antler Bags, Brooches, Belts, and Gloves – the designer, Brandon Mar, begins with natural materials and, without conforming to a singular part of the body, engineers them into their final form. Bold, Beautiful, and always in Black.
Through working with upcycled material, from cruelty free animal remains to reclaimed second-hand bags, the brand seeks to imposes function without changing authentic form. This design approach is more than possible– it’s wearable. These functional sculptures serve as evidence of a new life for the material world.

Brandon Mar began his creative career in fashion photography and aquascaping. He later studied biological engineering at Purdue University, where he conducted research in cancer drug discovery and bacteriophages. Alongside his scientific work, Mar continued to nurture his love for fashion and design through roles with independent magazines. In early 2025, he began designing small leather goods and has since expanded the label. Today, Mar operates at the intersection of science and craft, building a design practice that blends technical precision with material-driven storytelling.
